Things You'll Need
	1 Cup of Peal Starch
	2 Cups of Water

Directions:
I.	Get a large bowl that is fairly wide at the bottom. You will need this bowl to prepare the starch paste mixture.
II.	Pour 1 cup of PEAL Starch into a bowl, add 2 cups of water and mix these two ingredients together. Stir until the starch mixture consistency is slightly thick. This will be your stock paste.
III.	Let the mixture sit for 2 minutes.
IV.	Your paste is now ready to use.

How to Make Liquid PEAL Starch for Washing Machine Dispensers

How to Make Liquid PEAL Starch for Crocheted Doilies and Quilt Projects

PEAL Starch works well on crocheted doilies. Depending on your desired stiffness the more water you add to the starch solution, the less stiff your piece will be.

  

Things You'll Need

	3 Cups of Water

Directions:
I.	Get a large bowl that is fairly wide at the bottom. You will need this bowl to prepare the starch paste mixture.
II.	Pour 1 cup of PEAL Starch into a bowl, add 3 cups of water and mix these two ingredients together. Stir until the starch mixture consistency is slightly thick. This will be your stock solution.
III.	Let the mixture sit for 2 minutes.

Dilute with water unless you want it really stiff. Dip your piece into the starch, let it sit in the starch for a few seconds, then squeeze out excess (do not twist). Lay it flat on a hard surface, pin into shape with rust proof pins. You may also dip your piece into starch, roll it up in a towel (like a jelly roll) until it's almost dry. Then using a warm iron (not hot) and covered with a white piece of material (in case the color bleeds), press until dry.

This recipe is a winner! Kids can also help make this playdough. Mix, knead and play! To make a larger amount you can use an electric mixer. Add more water if it becomes dry. Ages 3 and up.

Things You'll Need
	2 Cups of Peal Starch
	1 cup flour, 1 extra cup flour
	4 table spoons oil
	1 cup water

Directions:
I.	In a large bowl mix 2 cups of PEAL Starch, 1 cup of flour, and 4 tablespoons of oil.
II.	Mix food coloring with water in a separate cup.
III.	Pour the colored water into the bowl and mix well. Let it sit for 2 minutes.
IV.	Add 1 extra cup of flour and knead with your hand or a roller (helps prevent sticking).
V.	Your playdough is ready for use! Mold and play to your heart's content.

Things You'll Need
	1/2 Cup of Peal Starch
	1 cup soap flakes
	1 cup water
	Food coloring or tempera paint

Directions:
I.	Mix PEAL Starch with enough cold water to make a paste. Let stand for 2 minutes.
II.	Add soap flakes and coloring.
III.	Blend until thick and smooth. Store in air-tight container.
IV.	Add 1 extra cup of flour and knead with your hand or a roller (helps prevent sticking).

Making a volcano that erupts is something that kids love! Have lots of "PEAL Starch mixture" on hand, as kids want to participate and see the volcano erupt again and again! Ages 6 and up.

Things You'll Need
	1 Cup of Peal Starch
	1/4 Cup of Baking Soda
	2 Drops of Dish Soap
	Red Food Coloring
	1 Cup Vinegar

Directions:
I.	Mix PEAL Starch, water and salt to make the paste the consistency of thick gravy.
II.	It is best if you paint the foil. If you have time dress the foil with playdough.
III.	Mix the PEAL Starch with baking soda, and pour half way into the volcano/cup
IV.	Mix food coloring with vinegar in a separate cup. Add 2 drops of soap (make sure you add soap, it slows the reaction)
V.	When you are ready for the eruption, pour the vinegar mixture into the cup and watch the eruption!

Things You'll Need

	2 Tsp. Salt

Directions:
I.	Mix PEAL Starch, water and salt to make the paste the consistency of thick gravy.
II.	Sprinkle in the food coloring. Be sure to dress little ones in an old apron or shirt.
III.	Put spoonfuls of paint on kitchen table or sheets of butcher paper and let them create. Cleans up fairly easy.
IV.	Small margarine tubs work well for the individual colors.

I.	Mix 1 cup PEAL Starch and ½ cup flour with 2 cups of water until you get a consistency like thick glue.

III.	Mix well to get out all the lumps. The paste should stick smoothly without dripping.
IV.	Your paste is now ready to use.
